I am so happy by writing about this tournament! I had so much fun and I got to spend the week in one of the nicest cities of Italy…MILAN!!! Very well known for the shopping but with the nicest cathedral I have ever seen in my life (Every single square meter is studied to the detail). I was so impressed I couldn’t avoid looking for more information about it in wikipedia. An absolute piece of art. A place I recommend anyone going. And why not, finishing the Duomo’s visit with a cafe latte in the gallery just in front :) Very suitable plan for a day off.
My trip to Italy started with a day of practise on Monday. It was so windy they closed the course for safety, so I focused on working a lot on the putting green with getting the speed and the roll of it.
Tuesday was lots of fun. I was one of the fortunate ones to get invited by the LET/Tournament promoter to go the city centre of Milan to one of the most prestigious Jewellery shops in the world. It was DAMIANI. I had the pleasure to be with Christina Kim and Diana Luna while trying magnificent and unique pieces (Check the image gallery!!). Not a bad start isn’t it?? By the way I practiced in the afternoon (18 holes), and after wearing those amazing necklaces, earings, rings…I felt much better!! Haha!
Pro-Am day on Wednesday, as it was a Thursday start. Shot gun start at 10:30 and did some more practise after we were finished. My family came for this week so I was looking forward to having a great time on the course.
I shot one under both first and second round. I knew it was a good result but being the last tournament of the season in Europe, I was determined to make a better effort on the last round. I was very happy with my game especially how I fought back since hole 4. Finished three under with a total of minus 5, for a tied eleventh position.
I was very happy with the final result, considering the situation of my game. Now I have a few weeks to work on the little refinements to get my game better than ever for the LPGA Q-School.
Thank you so much and don’t miss the website updates!!
